Grid Rider Permits
for Themed Vehicles

You can bring ordinary, non-themed vehicles to the event and park them in the general parking area or at your camp if you are in the general non-themed camping areas.

However, for any vehicle to park in or even enter the official Theme Zone, it must be appropriately themed, and have one of our special GRID RIDER permits.

To get your Grid Rider Permit at NEO, you will need to request a review of your vehicle.
While we haven’t figured out what location the permit office will be at for 2027 yet, here’s what you can expect.
You can park your vehicle temporarily just outside the Theme Zone (obviously not blocking traffic). We will probably have an area marked for this. There will be a set location for you to go to in order to request a vehicle review for a Grid Rider permit, and the representative will come to you.

Mobility devices FOR THE DISABLED are always allowed in all areas. Theming for these devices is optional. If the mobility device is not for the disabled, then yes, GRID RIDER permits are required for themed vehicles to drive in and around the official Theme Zone.
